Dogs running together on a trail during group class

Learn Together

Obedience That Holds Up in the Real World

Emberleash certified trainers specialize in group obedience where it counts: around other dogs, people, smells and motion. Classes stay small — never more than six dogs — so every team gets coached every session.

You will graduate with a dog that walks politely, greets without jumping, recalls away from play and settles on cue at the café, the park and the vet's waiting room.

  • Maximum six dogs per class, grouped by level
  • Six weekly 60-minute sessions plus graduation day
  • Loose-leash walking, recall, place, polite greetings
  • Homework videos so the whole family stays consistent

How It Works

Your Six Weeks, Step by Step

01

Assessment

A free 20-minute evaluation places your dog in the right level — Foundations, Intermediate or Advanced.

02

Foundations

Weeks one and two build marker training, focus and leash pressure skills in a low-distraction setup.

03

Distractions

Weeks three to five add other dogs, strangers, food and motion — proofing every skill until it is reliable.

04

Graduation

Week six is a real-world field trip: heel through the park, café settle and a recall past playing dogs.

Why Groups Work

Dogs Learn Faster Around Other Dogs

Distraction is the skill most owners never get to practice at home — and the one they need most. Group class manufactures exactly those hard moments in a controlled, coached setting, so the tenth squirrel is boring instead of explosive.

Owners learn faster too. Watching five other teams work the same exercise shows you timing, body language and common mistakes you would never spot training alone in your kitchen.

  • Safe, supervised socialization built into every session
  • The most affordable path to a fully mannered dog
  • Free level-up re-tests whenever you are ready
