Start Them Right

The First Months Shape Everything

Private puppy lessons begin with a hands-on evaluation of your puppy's temperament, confidence and drives. From there we build the four pillars of puppyhood: socialization, crate and house training, bite inhibition and first commands.

For puppies 8 weeks and older — including the critical weeks before vaccinations finish, when careful, safe exposure matters most.

  • Temperament evaluation before the first real lesson
  • Safe socialization checklist: 100 positive exposures
  • Crate training, sleeping through the night, house manners
  • Sit, down, come, name recognition and leash basics

How It Works

Eight Weeks to a Civilized Puppy

01

Evaluation

We assess confidence, mouthiness, food drive and handling sensitivity to set the right pace.

02

Home Setup

Crate, pen, schedule and management plan — weeks two and three make the house run itself.

03

Socialization

Guided exposures to sounds, surfaces, people and friendly dogs, always kept under threshold.

04

First Commands

Sit, down, recall foundations and loose-leash starts — plus a graduation plan for adolescence.

Prevention Beats Cure

Why Puppyhood Is the Cheapest Training

Every behavior problem we rehabilitate in adult dogs — jumping, pulling, barking, guarding — started as an adorable puppy habit nobody interrupted. Eight weeks of guided puppyhood prevents years of expensive fixes.

Just as important: you learn to read your dog. Owners who finish our puppy program spot stress, arousal and confusion early — and handle adolescence with confidence instead of panic.

  • Puppy kindergarten playgroups with matched temperaments
  • Chewing, nipping and jumping solved with kindness
  • Seamless graduation into group or adolescent programs
